We are looking for a woven designer to join our fast-growing team. The position is based in our NYC Corporate office and reports to the Design Director.

Responsibilities

Be part of the design team to create a well-balanced, cohesive and on-brand collection each season (10 deliveries/year)

Research trends and inspirations as directed by the creative directors

Own the design process from sketching, flats, garment specification, fit while ensuring the product design meets the targets customer’s criteria

Understand the balance between design/seasonal inspiration and commercial success

Strong focus on soft woven tops and dresses

Daily communication with domestic and international factories

Attend all fit sessions and help solve problems that may occur at proto or market sample development

Ensure all information is accurately recorded for production

Take part in special projects, seasonal lookbook shoot and fashion week presentation

Requirements

6-10 years of related experience

We are a small team and each employee is expected to work proactively and multi-task

Strong hand sketching ability and good color sensibility

Excellent Technical Knowledge

Detail oriented, organized and strong problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator

PLM experience a plus
