The Planning & Buying Assistant will support the growing retail and E-commerce business with reporting and product life-cycle management for VB and non-VB product. The role is an exciting opportunity to learn and support both retail planning and buying functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a love of fashion, be enthusiastic and eager to learn. The individual must be organized, analytical, detail oriented and proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.


Complete weekly, seasonal and ad hoc reporting

Reporting responsibilities will include weekly style and inventory position reporting, seasonal hindsighting/sell through analysis, and as needed ad hoc analysis

Order management, inventory allocations and weekly replenishment

This position will own allocation, replenishment and be responsible for maximizing DTC inventory across locations

Allocations include pre-season initial distributions and weekly receipt recommendations for all doors, adhering to OTB inventory levels

Create and monitor model stock levels for core styles

Experience with product sizing and RTVs/transfers preferred

Systemically manage inventory (bulk orders, store distributions, etc.) and oversee cross functional inventory communication with sales team, production and logistics

Assist in buying process by providing historical selling information, by door style selection, product sizing recommendations and order entry

Generate daily sales plans for retail stores, taking into consideration product launches, store events and historical selling

Non-VB vendor support

Manage style creation and price adjustments in our back-office POS

Assist in product pulls/organization for new store openings

Conduct frequent market and competitive analysis recaps


1 – 2 years of planning or buying experience

Excellent excel skills and proficient in PowerPoint and Outlook

Analytical with strong attention to detail

Solid understanding of retail math

Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Passionate about planning and buying

Enjoys working on a team and has a proactive approach to responsibilities
