Movers & Shakers
Movers & Shakers: Rachel Blumenthal
June 9, 2014
We fell in love with Rachel through Baby Buggy - an organization dedicated to assisting families in need. Rachel not only has amazing style, she started the coolest website, Cricket's Circle, for everything baby related. She's a perfect example of a woman who has it all - family, career and style - with a sense of humor, to boot!
1. Which words describe your style?
Feminine, girly, classic, yet unexpected.
2. What is the best career advice you ever received?
I never had the great fortune of having long-term bosses (I started my first company at 23) to important their wisdom on me. However, my greatest career advice is to ask questions (lots of them) and to listen. Listening is essential to learning.
3. Tell us something we don't know about you.
I summited the second highest active volcano in the world, Cotopaxi in Ecuador, at 19,000 feet. When you get to the top you're on a glacier looking down into the volcano. It was magical and the most adventurous thing I'll ever do.
4. What would you consider your "uniform"?
In the Fall & Winter you'll find me in black opaque tights, a short fun dress - like the VB Lace Insert Dress, a black blazer with an unexpected touch (like leather patches or a camp lining) with black stacked Chanel booties.
