Veronica Beard is looking for an experienced digital expert to join our team in New York as Director E-Commerce, reporting to the Vice President of Digital. The E-Commerce Director will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of veronicabeard.com and digital marketing channels, partnering with relevant internal and external players to enhance the online customer experience, maximize site usability, performance and ROI.
The leader in this role will be accountable for digital analysis, presenting insights and recommendations to drive sales and conversion and ensuring an optimal digital user experience at all touch points. The candidate is expected to be an idea generator with a high level of digital project management expertise who likes to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative work environment.
The role will involve cross-functional collaboration with our creative, operations, planning, retail and wholesale teams and is supported by a team of two.
Website & Operations:
Partner with outside development agency and internal Digital design team on site experience and functional enhancements
Oversee all work-flow related to site management including managing service levels of internal and 3rd-party providers including but not limited to development agency, platform, fulfillment, and customer service
Leverage merchandising and content expertise to help develop a best-in-class online experience that maximizes conversion opportunities and encourages more site visits
Actively monitor daily data flow between front end, order management, and internal systems; working with appropriate partners to resolve any discrepancies and issues
Support resolution of issues related to data feeds, product, pricing, promotions, content, orders, third party integrations, etc.
With support of E-Commerce team, oversee daily and weekly reporting for internal management team. Oversee preparation of monthly hindsight and contribute to quarterly business reporting
Analyze website feedback and circulate to appropriate departments. Collaborate with cross-functional Digital team to identify and prioritize the user experience initiatives based on feedback
Digital Marketing & Customer Experience:
Work closely with senior management, creative, planning and merchandising to identify business drivers to guide the development of seasonal digital marketing and monthly promotional roadmap – leveraging macro as well as direct response digital insights
In collaboration with agencies and senior management, develop plan for and manage all ecommerce ROI marketing programs including the areas of SEO, paid search, retargeting, display ads, email marketing, affiliate marketing, syndication of content into paid channels etc.
Partner with Customer Experience and Marketing Managers to devise and lead email communications program ensuring they drive sales and brand engagement, and develop lifecycle marketing campaigns to drive loyalty and retention among existing customers
Lead contact for day-to-day communication with outside digital marketing / media agencies and partners
Bachelor’s Degree or higher, MBA a plus
7+ years of e-commerce experience, preferably in a fashion or luxury environment
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, develop, and grow teams
Detailed understanding of end-to-end e-commerce processes including clear understanding of website infrastructure, content management, product attribution, and customer-facing functionality
Requires strong knowledge of marketing software, email marketing, principles of web design, digital and social media
P&L or line of business management experience, core operational strength and the ability to make budget decisions to drive business success
Strong organizational, analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills with a strong attention to detail
Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to work quickly, efficiently and strategically with a wide range of internal departments
Proficient in Google Analytics, M.S. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
