Veronica Beard is seeking a Sales Manager to oversee our domestic Department Store business. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with buyers. The ideal candidate is both strategic and detail oriented and has a strong background in both financial and product planning. This person will be responsible for all aspects of sales for their business, including market management and market prep, re-orders, selling, monitoring of profitability, and management of account projections. The candidate must possess the ability to identify challenges and opportunities while providing solutions and recommendations for each. This role will report into the VP of Sales.

Responsibilities

Work strategically to achieve and exceed seasonal and annual sales targets

Manage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with buyers

Oversee showroom appointments for your account base

Process weekly selling reports and maximize opportunities with buyers thru reorders, swaps, and recuts

Manage open to buy for assigned accounts

Strategize on initiatives to increase sales

Identify and communicate opportunities to increase profitability

Partner with merchandising and planning to ensure assortment meets the needs of accounts

Manage the execution of trunk shows for key accounts

Create detailed market prep to highlight account needs, plans, and budgets

Provide communication from stores regarding product needs and feedback

Requirements

6-8+ years of Wholesale experience within the women’s RTW or Jeans industry

Solid understanding of market needs

Advanced understanding of Excel

Team oriented but also self-driven with entrepreneurial spirit

Proven track record of growing a business

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong negotiation and presentation skills
