City Guide: Ashley Bernon on Boston

November 18, 2016

No one knows Boston like my cousin, Ashley Bernon. We are heading to the historic city for the weekend and can't wait to have her as our tour guide. Check out her favorite spots and things to do in the guide below!  - VSB

Describe Boston in four words:

Home, Romantic, Intimate and Gorgeous

Favorite Neighborhood:

Wellesley. It’s just outside the city and I’ve called it home for the past 20 years.

Hotel You Recommend:

The Four Seasons. It’s Boston’s living room.

Your Must-Visit Restaurants:

Sorellina, 1 Huntington Avenue, Copley Square

Mistral Bistro, 223 Columbus Avenue, South End

Blue Ginger, 583 Washington Street, Wellesley

Select Oyster Bar, 50 Gloucester Street, Back Bay
The Bristol at The Four Seasons and Winston Flowers.

Best Place to Grab a Cocktail:

My favorite bar is The Bristol at The Four Seasons.

Morning Go-To:

Mother Juice. I love all the fresh juices and breakfast bowls on the menu!

Favorite Places to Shop:

I love Saks and Intermix for clothing – between the two of them you can find everything you need. Florijn Home, in Wellesley, for all your home interior needs. (My entire office is from here!) And I am always at Winston Flowers. From care packages and gifts to parties and installations, they are my go-to when it comes to flowers.

Place to Pamper Yourself:

I love Benefit on Newbury Street in Back Bay. They have a whole menu of fun services, from brows to spray tans.

Tourist spot you love to visit:

Boston is a sporty town, it’s all about sports for us. Head to Gillette Stadium or Fenway Park for a game or a concert. They are such iconic spots!

Best family activity:

We are such a museum family and take advantage of all the exhibits and events. We love the Museum of Science, the Boston Children’s Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts.
