Movers & Shakers: Brett Heyman
June 15, 2018
Looking to step up your handbag game? Let Brett Heyman, the woman behind beloved luxury accessories line Edie Parker, be your guide. We caught up with her at her Madison Avenue store to talk all things summer style, career and guilty pleasures.
Brett Heyman, Mom, Wife and Founder and Creative Director of Edie Parker
I worked in the public relations departments of both Gucci and Dolce and Gabbana for years, covering ready-to-wear but also accessories. I thought there was room for a luxury evening bag brand based on acrylic clutches from the 1950s. I had collected these bags beginning in high school and with the confidence of my fashion experience and connections I started designing.
She is ageless, but she has a specific attitude. She is bright, optimistic, has a sense of happy exuberance, a love of color and always gets the joke.
Simple acrylic box clutches in solids and stripes.
