The three summer wines perfect for dining al fresco…Summer Water — it's joy in a glass. Nikki and Erica manage to make a refreshing, quaffable rosé that has notes of rose petals and strawberry but is as dry and focused as can be. They nailed it and this wine is as billed — perfect for summer!
Sandhi Sparkling Rosé is one of the most thoughtful wines I've tasted and a brilliant example of bubbly created by Rajat Parr with some collaboration by Michael Cruse. The wine is indeed serious and intellectual if you want to spend time with it — and it's delicious on its own. It's also super-light in color, 98% Chardonnay with just 2% Pinot Noir.
Bellus Caldera — this is one of my go-to summer whites because it's dry yet aromatic and because it's such a clean, mineral, versatile white wine. Plus, the grapes grow at high elevation on volcanic soil and I love the tension those factors add to this wine!
