Behind the Scenes

988 Madison Avenue: Welcome to the Store

August 23, 2016

A behind the scenes look of the happenings at our Madison Avenue store.
Opening our first store has been a dream for a long time! We’ve put so much into creating a space that you'll fall in love with. The store feels like an extension of our homes and is a place where you will want to shop and hang out.

From the moment you walk through the doors, the smell (By Kilian candles), the sounds (a playlist of our favorite songs) and the décor will transport you. It’s the perfect mix of uptown and downtown, modern and vintage and our two personalities. Leopard print couches, Turkish kilim rugs, antique mirrors and rich textiles fill the space. It’s an experience that goes beyond traditional shopping – encompassing fashion, lifestyle and interiors – and we want you to be a part of the world of Veronica Beard.
We are also excited to announce that our exclusive hat collection of wide- and short-brim fedoras with interchangeable decorative flair trimmings will also be available. Just like you can customize the Dickey Jacket, you’ll be able to design a hat with the flairs to fit your personal style at our in-store flair bar. We’ll continue to add exclusive products and limited-edition designs to the store each month, giving you something new to discover every time you visit.

Alongside the pieces from our collection, we offer an exclusive range of jewelry, accessory, beauty and home décor items that not only complement the space, but are items we think are essentials in our girl’s life. From Bluemerucry beauty products to vintage jewelry from House of Lavande (and so much more), the store is filled with the products we’ve fallen in love with over the years.

The walls of the store will also play home to selected artworks from artists at the Voltz Clarke Gallery (including Mary Nelson Sinclair and Natasha Law). Plus, a specially commissioned “I Want it All” sign from neon artist Lisa Schulte that captures the true essence of our space.

Stop in, shop and stay awhile. We can’t wait to see you on the Upper East Side!
