988 Madison Avenue: 5 Interior Design Tips

July 26, 2016

A behind the scenes look at our Madison Avenue store.
We are having a little work done on Madison Avenue and will be back with a totally revamped space in August! Opening our first store has been a dream for a long time and when it came to bringing our vision to life, we went straight to our friend and interior designer Carolina de Neufville.

Carolina has had a long career in interior design, working on store design for Ralph Lauren for almost a decade, but most importantly, she is a Veronica Beard customer. She understands us, the brand and the way our woman wants to approach fashion, interiors and lifestyle. We asked her to share some of her design insights that you can apply to your own home, read on for all of her tips!

5 Interior Design Pro-Tips

Don't hang your artwork too high. Keep it at eye level.

Use a larger mirror to open up a space, create more light and reflect something beautiful.

Add layers. A room never feels cozy or finished without layers, photographs and objects you collect.

Add a natural texture. My go-to is an abaca carpet because they are soft on your feet and look classic and chic in any type of room.

Lighting is everything. Make sure all your lamps have dimmers and if you are starting from scratch, hire a lighting consultant.

Three words to describe 988 Madison Avenue:

Eclectic, layered and fabulous.
